This page is devoted to anyone who is having trouble using our website to the fullest. Please look at the list of questions below and see if any of them match the kind of problem you are having.

1. I can't download the powerpoint presentations.

If you are having problems downloading notes, first check to see if you have any type of virus software turned on. This may interfere with downloading files onto your computer.

Right-click on the antivirus icon in the lower-right hand corner of your screen by the clock, then click "disable" (exact wording may vary between different programs).

At this point, go back to the webpage and try it again.

2. Printing the powerpoint presentations uses way too many sheets of paper.

The default on Powerpoint is one slide per page, you can change that in the printer dialog box.

First, open the presentation you want to print. Then select File | Print. The printer dialog box should now open and look like this.

In the lower-left quadrant, there is a box entitled "Print What", click on pull-down menu to see a list of options.

Choose to print slides, handouts, notes, and an outline.

Slides: - Print out slides with pictures, just like they would appear if you were to run the slideshow.
Handouts: - This will allow you to print multiple slides per page. When you select this option, the box to the right will become active. This is where you choose how many slides per page and in which order.

Choose how many slides per page and what order you would like them.

Notes Page: - This option will allow you to print 3 slides per page, but it will also include a column for you to write notes. For example, in the image above: 1, 3, and 5 would be slides, and 2, 4, and 6 would be space for writing notes.
Outline View: - This option prints only the text of the presentation, no images. This option also uses the least amount of paper.

3. How do I get added to the mailing list?

The mailing list is mainly experimental this semester. We are testing out how useful it can be. To be added the mailing list, click the link below which will take you to a page where you will be asked to fill out a small form. Make sure you fill everything out or we won't know which classes to file you under. Be sure not to overlook the "Enrolled Class" drop-down box.
