Le Chatelier's Principle
Cobalt Equilibrium

CoCl42-(aq) + 6H2O(l) <---->Co(H2O)62+(aq) + 4Cl-(aq) + Heat

Adding hydrochoric acid (thus adding chloride) shifts
the equilibrium towards the reactants.

Adding water shifts
the equilibrium towards the products. (Why is this??)

Adding heat shifts
the equilibrium towards the reactants.

Removing heat shifts
the equilibrium towards the products.
