A large cluster of planarians. They are all grouped around, and attempting to feed on, a large piece of fresh chicken liver that has just been added to their container. Note that their middle sections are all grouped around the food, not their heads. Planarians feed through a tube (pharynx) loacted in their midsection, and have no mouth or digestive cavity opening on their anterior end (head).
